Star Wars Could Have Been Saved with Positional Sleep Therapy

Carrie fisher

We already saw an animated Princess Leia in Rogue One and it might have been one of the scariest things I’ve seen in Star Wars yet.  Now with the death of Carrie Fisher, we might see another animated Leia in episode IX.  Many fans have been blowing up twitter with theories or solutions for what to do to avoid this.  It’s clear there’s no simple solution to fix this.  Carrie Fisher’s passing has definitely caused turmoil for the writers.

What if I told you she died from Sleep Apnea?

Her untimely death was caused by an easily treatable sleeping disorder.  Another testament to how dangerous Obstructive Sleep Apnea can be if it’s untreated.

A person with Sleep Apnea will have frequent episodes in which they stop breathing throughout the night, and in severe cases, up to 500 times.  It’s caused by a blockage in the airway and is almost always accompanied by snoring.  Often times, this blockage is soft tissue that will relax (especially under the effects of alcohol) and collapse the airway.

Positional sleep therapy fixes this!  Positional sleep therapy is a simple, yet extremely effective, solution that focuses on how you sleep at night.  Most specifically sleeping on your side.

Sleeping on one’s side will open up these airways during the night, giving a great night’s rest free from the symptoms of Sleep Apnea.  It will also fix snoring and will set the back up in a position that will free it from extra stress.

If Carrie Fisher would have bought a positional sleep belt.

Although not everyone will die from Sleep Apnea, like Carrie Fisher did, it’s a pretty clear warning sign to those who might be too nervous to get their Sleep Apnea treated.

The SlumberBUMP Positional Sleep Belt comes in four sizes: small, medium, large, and the newly released One Size Fits All.  They’re easily portable and only have to be used for 30-60 days until sleeping on your side will feel natural.  Both these benefits would have been great for Carrie Fisher who was probably extremely busy with all her work.

Don’t let Sleep Apnea be a problem in your life.  Don’t hesitate to shoot us an email if you have any questions.

May the force be with you!
