Most snoring is caused when the airway is compressed and breathing causes soft tissues to vibrate. This usually happens when we reach REM Sleep and our body becomes paralyzed. The tongue and jaw relax and fall backwards closing the airspace in the throat.
slumberBUMP stops gravity from pulling the tongue and jaw downwards onto the throat, which in turn stops the airway from compressing.
