Why Choose slumberBUMP?
No prescription is needed, and you can begin seeing an improvement in snoring in as little as one night.
How Does it Work?
The image on the left represents a normal sleeping person with the pink representing open air ways and the tongue in the mouth. slumberBUMP works by training people who suffer from position-based snoring to not sleep on their back. Like all training aids that help break habits, it does require some dedication. (See our 21 night Sleep Challenge).
Most snoring is caused when the airway is compressed and breathing causes soft tissues to vibrate. This usually happens when we reach REM Sleep and our body becomes paralyzed. The tongue and jaw relax and fall backwards closing the airspace in the throat.
slumberBUMP stops gravity from pulling the tongue and jaw downwards onto the throat, which in turn stops the airway from compressing.
When the tongue and the jaw fully relax and the throat becomes constricted, the tighter airways will vibrate and this is SNORING!
On average, after 21 nights of using slumberBUMP, most people have retrained themselves to sleep comfortably on their side and experience a better night sleep due to the body getting proper oxygen flow, (Their sleeping partners also get a better night sleep due to less irritation of SNORING NOISE)!

The 21-Day Challenge
slumberBUMP recommends Snore Lab to give you a more unique insight into how well you are actually sleeping at night. The helpful Snore Lab app, recommended by doctors around the globe, will track exactly how loudly and for how long you snore over the night. Starting from the day you receive your slumberBUMP for the next three weeks, you will be able to enter your sleep data and plot out your progress with the slumberBUMP.
Will slumberBUMP™ work for me?
The slumberBUMP™ positional sleep trainer is effective for about 8 out of 10 people who are mild to moderate snorers. It’s also highly effective to be used along with other treatments like CPAP Therapy or Oral Appliance Therapy. slumberBUMP™ is most effective for those who are positionally dependent snorers…meaning, if you mostly snore while you sleep on your back, but stop when you roll over, slumberBUMP™ should work for you.*
What should I expect when using slumberBUMP?
Just like getting a new pillow, sleeping with the slumberBUMP™ takes a little getting used to. For some people who aren’t used to sleeping on their sides, it can causes some muscle soreness and aches as your body adjusts to a new sleeping position. However, most people find that after a couple of weeks they are sleeping better than before.
Do I have to use the slumberBUMP forever?
Nope. You sure don’t. SlumberBUMP™ is a positional sleep trainer. The results can be permanent. If used regularly, most people only need to sleep with the slumberBUMP™ for 30 – 60 days. After that, you will have learned to sleep on your side. After the new habits have been formed, most people will continue sleeping on their side, even without the slumberBUMP™. Many people will still take their slumberBUMP™ with them when they travel since new beds and pillows can change the way you sleep. If you ever find yourself sleeping on your back again, simply use the slumberBUMP™ for a few weeks to retrain your body to sleep on its side.*
